Made with new high-quality German NiMh cells, this battery pack screws into Beaulieu 4008 cameras and provides power for approximately 5 Super-8 films (depending on filming speed and temperature). It is a direct replacement for the original NiCd cells that came with the cameras.

NiMh cells have a number of advantages over Lithium cells. Most importantly they use a medium charging current (500mA) so can be charged in-camera without the risk of damaging the camera’s circuitry. NiMh cells are also safe for posting via air, and transport in airport luggage.

Suitable for charging with a smart NiMh charger (see our separate listing here). At 500mA charging time is around 1 hour.

Note that this is a 7.2v pack for the 4008 range. It is not suitable for the 2008 (see our separate listing for a 2008 battery pack).
